I got this photo a hot day at a small pond in La Dehesa de El Saler, Valencia.
My knowledge about dragonflies is not in-depth, I would say is almost as scarce as Donald Trump’s good manners. So I can not explain why this dragonfly was doing this, but it was a long time resting on this stick in the middle of the pond. From time to time it took off, did a short trip around over the water and came back to its stick. That behaviour was good for me, because it gave me time to take several shots.
Although I couldn’t walk close to it without go into the water (and it wasn’t a clean water), the zoom was enough to get a good shot from my place at the edge.
