My name is Samuel, and I’m an amateur photographer. I started with analog photography (indeed I’m old enough) time ago, but left it soon when other activities took my time, and picked up it again lately, now with digital photography.
My interests have varied, from nature and wildlife photography at the beginning, to street photography some time later. And also enjoy lately urbex, urban exploration of abandoned buildings or ruins.
I said I’m an amateur, there are two meanings of this word:
- A person who engages in some art, science, sport, etc. for the pleasure of it rather than for money.
- A person unskilled in or having only a superficial knowledge of a subject or activity.
Well, I prefer the first one, I take photos for the sake of taking photos, not to make money (who would pay me anyhow?) or get followers. Simply because I enjoy taking photos, and enjoy processing them. And I try to learn every day a bit more to do less valid the second meaning.
And also I’m an amateur (second meaning) with English, which is not my language as perhaps you have noticed already. I promise I’ll try my best in both matters, photography and English.
Thanks for your visit!
