Dalí is watching

Posters at street
Barrio del Carmen in València, Spain.

Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) was a Catalonian surrealist painter, known to everybody in Spain but maybe not so much to young people in other countries. Here he is in a poster (and a smaller one), with his distinctive gaze and moustache. But even if you knew him, most likely didn’t know his full aristocratic name: Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquis of Dalí de Púbol. Impressive, isn’t it? That name needs a moustache like this.

It is shameful, but the only faces I can recognize on the rest of posters are Pippi Longstocking and her friend monkey.
