Rebeca was 20 years old. Passionate about arts, painting, music, she was studying Fine Arts and also working as cook to pay her studies.

An evening, 13 January 2013, she was cycling, coming back home. A drunk and drugged driver, driving his car at almost 100 kilometers an hour, ran several red lights and ran her over. She died instantly. The impact was so brutal that one of her sneakers was found at 20 meters of distance.
A neighbour painted a bicycle and left it in the place. Later her boyfriend attached a bouquet of flowers and a plaque in her memory.
I didn’t know Rebecca, but have to pass by that street often, and can’t help but turning to look at the white bike each time. It happened 8 years ago, but the white bycicle, plaque and flowers stay there.
